Join our growing team! We're looking for a skilled and reliable individual to survey, fabricate, weld (if qualified) and assemble piping fabrications safely and responsibly. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic business committed to quality and growth.
Main Responsibilities
• Measure and cut / shape / bend steel piping sections to size / tolerance as required.
• Prep steel pipes for fabrication as required.
• Fabricate and assemble Piping fabrications.
• Install & secure using supports / brackets piping systems as per customer requirements.
• Undertake welding processes GTAW, SMAW, GMAW and FCAW in various positions. (As Qualified)
• Carry out welding processes to ISO, ASME and AWS standards (As Qualified)
• Tack weld pipework fabrications (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Cunifer and Aluminium).
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and make appropriate use of PPE at all times.
• Work to the requirements of CDM regulations 2015 when applicable.
• Work to HSE ACOPs, customer rules & specifications, company work instructions and route cards at all times.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
• Carry out any other reasonable task / activities as requested by Manager or delegate.
Skills and Abilities
• Quick to learn, adaptable, and self-motivated
• Skilled in reading engineering drawings and BOMs
• Accurate measurement using calibrated tools
• Proficient with hand/power tools and pipefitting equipment
• Strong pipe alignment, fitting, and problem-solving abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong focus and accuracy
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Effective communicator with strong English and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working at height, in confined spaces, and away from home
• Flexible for overtime, weekends, and night shifts as needed
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
• Minimum SVQ Level 3 or equivalent or higher in relevant trade qualification
• Practical experience working in an engineering environment working with hand and power tools.
• Experience working on CDM worksites
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001
• Full clean driving licence.
• Knowledge of hydrostatic and pneumatic testing procedures
Working Hours: This is a full-time role based on 38 hours per week.
Relocation Assistance: This role is not eligible for relocation.
Remote Type: There is no remote or hybrid working available for this role.
